વેણીભાઈ પુરોહિત

Venibhai Jamnadas Purohit was a Gujarati poet and short-story writer, also known by the pen name Sant Khurshidas. Born in Jamkhambhaliya on 1 February 1916, he belonged to the twentieth-century stream of Gujarati lyric writing that kept the geet form alive in public song as well as literature. His poems often move through folk cadence, sensory immediacy, and musical refrain. He died on 3 January 1980, leaving behind work that continued to circulate through singers, composers, and Gujarati literary memory.
